Today’s lunch is a random collection of delicious goodies. Each kiddo got half a piece of pretzel bread with cheddar cheese, string cheese and ham. Trader Joe’s pretzel bread is amazing—kind of like a salty brioche. For some reason, I also decided to include some teriyaki beef jerky in this lunch—oh yeah, I was going for variety. Veggies today are slices of carrot and crisp jicama. I’ve been getting jicama at the farmers market lately and it’s so much better than grocery store jicama. Maybe it’s due to the size: the jicama at the farmers market are tiny little cousins of the gigante jicama that you usually see at the store. Both kids also got a sweet treat today: a little square of pumpkin cake.
