Last night for dinner we had fettucini with crowd-pleasing turkey bolognese. What is it about pasta and meat/non-meat sauce? Total comfort food. I absolutely love this bolognese recipe (from one of my favorite food blogs) minus the fennel seeds—I usually make a big batch, so I can freeze some in an old pasta sauce jar. I’ve also made it with tempeh, although I hate to admit it, but I prefer the turkey version. I had a little bit of sauce left over, so for today’s lunch I made mini pizzas on whole wheat skinny bread. We also have Holiday Goldfish, pretzels, sliced persimmons and candy coated chocolate sunflower seeds.
